RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- Three people were arrested and a fourth remains at large after a standoff incident in the Town of Waupun Sunday night.

It started just before 8 pm when a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy pulled over person wanted for absconding from parole on robbery charges and failing to appear in court on charges of obstructing an officer.

The driver fled from the traffic stop at speeds exceeding 100 miles an hour. He fled to his home on Hemp Road about two miles away. He barricaded himself inside. Negotiations to get him outside of the home peacefully were unsuccessful.

A warrant was obtained and a SWAT armored vehicle punched through a door. Three people including the driver who fled from the traffic stop were taken into custody.

While they were being interviewed it was learned a fourth person who was wanted on warrant may still be inside. Despite search efforts that person couldn’t be located.
