Q: Who owns The Bug?
A: The Bug (WAUH) is owned by Civic Media, Inc. We became part of the Civic Media family in April 2025. The Bug has been serving Central Wisconsin since 2000 and was locally owned and operated by the Boyson family through Hometown Broadcasting from 2001-2025. We’re proud to continue the tradition of local radio while being part of the Civic Media Network!
Q: What areas does The Bug serve?
A: The Bug serves Central WI from just south of Stevens Point, down to near Baraboo along highway 39, and east to Lake Winnebago. Covering Waushara, Waupaca, Green Lake, Marquette, and Winnebago Counties.

A: Yes! The Bug provides:
- Local news updates throughout the day

- Wisconsin news from the Wisconsin Radio Network

Q: Can I listen to Packers games on The Bug?
A: Yes! The Bug broadcasts Green Bay Packers games. Check our website or mobile app for the complete broadcast schedule and game times. However, The Bug cannot legally stream NFL football on our internet feed.

A: All high school sports are broadcast on our sister frequencies of 93.1fm and AM1600 WRPN “The Wave” in Ripon.

A: Retro Mornings with Wayne Mausser airs from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, delivering your morning dose of retro favorites and a lively start to the day with local interviews and information.
From 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, John Boyson: The Unforgettable Music Experience, featuring Deep End Stories, B side album cuts, Turntable Tracks at 1pm, and local interviews.
At 3:00 PM, the station transitions into Intelligence for Your Life with John Tesh, continuing until 8:00 PM, offering a blend of music, life advice, and inspiration.
Rounding out the evening, great retro variety takes over from 8:00 PM to midnight, providing soothing and engaging music to wind down your day.
