WAUTOMA, Wis. (WAUH)- The City of Waupaca in a Facebook post Monday announced Gold Cross Ambulance will be adding a second ambulance in the city.
Mayor Brian Smith says, “This is an important step forward in ensuring that our community has timely access to lifesaving services.” He added, “We appreciate Gold Cross’s commitment to Waupaca and the region and their partnership in delivering high-quality emergency medical response for our residents and visitors.”
Gold Cross Ambulance Service received approval to add a fifth ambulance to their operations in the western service area which covers most of Waupaca County and western Outagamie County.
The decision was approved by a consortium of municipalities last Wednesday.
