APPLETON, WI—(WISS)— Drivers who currently possess a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a passenger (“P”) endorsement are encouraged to apply to be a driver for Valley Transit, the public transportation service in the Fox Cities.
A press release from the organization said the company is offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus to operators with a clean driving record. The company said it has a shortage of bus drivers.
“Our drivers play a critical role in keeping our community connected to things like employment, education, and health care,” Ron McDonald, Valley Transit general manager, said in a press release. “We are in need of new drivers who already have the qualifications to quickly get on the road and get our passengers to where they need to go.”
Valley Transit operates the bus line in the Fox Cities, including Appleton, Buchanan, Grand Chute, Kaukauna, Kimberly, Little Chute, City of Menasha, Neenah and Fox Crossing.
