Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Waupaca County Crash

Waupaca County Sheriff’s officials say the driver of a passenger vehicle who fled on foot from a serious crash in the Town of Lebanon is in custody.

Just after midnight Friday morning the Sheriff’s Communications Center got a call about a serious accident involving a passenger car and motorcycle on US Highway 45 and County Highway D.

Investigators learned a northbound motorcycle on US Highway 45 struck the front end of a passenger vehicle that was turning south onto US Highway 45 from County Highway D.

The motorcycle operator was ejected from the bike and was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the passenger vehicle was located later and taken into custody.
